60 Minutes for Mental Health

Join Dr. Halcyon Francis and Dr. Christina Reamon as they discuss the importance of mental wellness, including a brief psychoeducation regarding anxiety and depression symptoms experienced as a result of the pandemic and quarantine over the past year.

Topics covered will include:

  • The importance of mental health and therapy
  • Fatigue/burnout
  • Coping mechanisms to assist with the quarantine
  • Suggestions for self-care activities

This zoom meeting is hosted by the GBPCC and is tailored specific to the needs of those working in the mailing industry.


Presenters

Dr. Halcyon Francis
Lead therapist and owner of H.F. & Associates, LLC, a mental health private practice operating out of Ellicott City, MD.
Bio – Dr. Halcyon Francis is the lead therapist and owner of H.F. & Associates, LLC, a mental health private practice operating out of Ellicott City, MD. Some of her past clinical positions include working as the lead therapist for the Female Intervention Team (F.I.T.) with the Department of Juvenile Services in Baltimore and as a part-time clinician and diagnostician at a community mental health center in Catonsville, MD. She received both her MSW and DSW from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy & Practice.

Dr. Francis provides mental health therapy services for clients ages 17 and over. This includes individual and family sessions. She has expertise in working with clients who have a history of depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem as a result of experiencing traumas, including physical abuse, emotional abuse, workplace bullying and community violence. She also specializes in working with women who have been diagnosed with Pre-menstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) Dr. Francis offers Brainspotting as a treatment modality.


Dr. Cristina Reamon
Founder and Therapist of Reamon & Associates, LLC and Pure Vida Counseling Services
Bio – Dr. Cristina Reamon is the founder and therapist of Reamon & Associates, LLC and Pure Vida Counseling Services; outpatient mental health private practices in Somers Point and Mullica Hill, NJ. Dr. Reamon has been providing clinical services in a variety of settings, including: psychiatric hospital, long-term residential treatment facility, community mental health, schools and private practice. She received her Masters in Clinical Social Work (MSW) from Norfolk State University and Doctorate in Social Work (DSW) from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy & Practice. She is a Certified Exposure Relapse Prevention Therapist for the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Brainspotting Trained Therapist.

Dr. Reamon serves clients facing a wide range of challenges including individuals attempting to improve their mood or overcome some obstacle such as life transitions, grief/loss, stress, anxiety and depression; children and adolescents hoping to improve social skills or build self-esteem; and couples or families seeking to resolve issues and improve communication.
